What is a Walkout Basement?
A walkout basement is precisely what its name suggests: a basement from which you can walk out. These basement designs feature a patio door (complete with a screen) at ground level, giving you easy outdoor access. There is also often a wall adorned with full above-grade windows, providing excellent natural light. In most of these cases, the property slopes towards the rear, enabling the walkout basement to lead straight into the backyard. These home designs will have an oversized upper deck extending from the main floor level, giving you the option of a covered patio in your beautiful backyard, accessed from the basement. VIEWS basements are constructed to a standard ceiling height of 9 feet. This extra head space is crucial in having a lower level feel as comparably open as the main floor.

Until our collection of VIEWS model homes have been built in North Oshawa, we are excited to see you at our Bowmanville location at 424 Northglen Blvd, (east of Middle Road) where you can view our floor plans and pick your lot. Our hours are Monday to Wednesday, by appointment only; Thursday and Fridays are closed; Saturday and Sunday, 12pm until 5pm (walk-ins welcome).
You can choose between 36’ and 40’ wide lots available at VIEWS. With a varied selection of modern farmhouse style homes and floorplans created specifically for your family’s evolving needs, your VIEW of North Oshawa has never looked better.
It is an independent rating system for many products relating to energy efficiency, often seen on appliances. Houses can be similarly rated as well. It comprises a number of prescribed practices of home building whereby the house often surpasses minimum building code requirements by 25% or more. The house is tested at completion, and the system is simply "pass or fail". Jeffery Homes is proud to be an Energy Award Winner for 2021 and 2022.
